Design slowly. Look slowly. Create from within, on your own terms. This freedom also extends to the materials: The collection is mostly made of sterling silver, but when the design requires it, the metal serves the design and not the other way around. PULSO is not an aesthetic, it&#8217;s a position statement. That of a person who understands that things meant to last can\u2019t be designed in haste.<\/p>\n<p>Art serves as the compass for this season. Not as a visual reference, but as an attitude: the same one that demands that we stop before the hand-drawn grids of <strong>Agnes Martin<\/strong> , before the theatrical light of <strong>Cecil Beaton<\/strong> , before the photographic drama of <strong>Horst P. Horst<\/strong> or the creatures of <strong>Maria Sibylla Merian<\/strong>, which seem poised to take flight from the paper. That slow tempo, that trained eye, is what PULSO brings to the design process and each piece in the collection.<\/p>\n<p>The intertwining geometry of <strong>Electra<\/strong> with its Para\u00edba-blue cubic zirconia and a bracelet with remarkable presence but almost imperceptible weight. The bridal elegance of <strong>Wedding<\/strong> , which evolves from the most essential petal to the most flower-filled set with the theatrical restraint of Cecil Beaton and, in the Amour set, the surrealist wink of Dal\u00ed. The warm stillness of <strong>Heriti\u00e8re<\/strong>, fine jewelry for everyday wear with the same restrained light of <strong>Andrew Wyeth<\/strong>. The color that bursts forth in <strong>Vibrant<\/strong> , with its semi-rigid bracelets and gradient cubic zirconia that Horst P. Horst would have photographed using his most dramatic lighting. The ancient mysticism of <strong>Petra<\/strong> , which travels from the Nabatean city of Jordan to the Art Deco language. And <strong>Ninfa<\/strong> , with its brooches in translucent cathedral enamel, small living stained glass windows that capture the light like Merian captured her specimens.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Salvatore Plata also designs without material constraints. The collection is crafted mainly in sterling silver, but when the design demands it, the metal serves the design and not the other way around.
