Maria Sibylla Merian drew butterflies and dragonflies with such precision that they seemed poised to take flight from the paper itself, a naturalism that was, in reality, pure fascination with color and the light passing through their wings. Nymph was conceived with that same vision: tiny creatures—butterflies, dragonflies, birds, fish—transformed into brooches that capture light as if they had a life of their own.

The secret lies in the cathedral enamel: a technique that gives color to the piece without sacrificing transparency, like a miniature stained glass window.
